Fibre Visions was FIBRE.ART.WALES' first major touring exhibition which traveled in Wales and the UK during 2001 - 2003. The exhibition also officially launched the group at Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre, Gwent in 2001. Each artist exhibited from one to four pieces of work, sizes ranging from large tapestries and hangings to minuscule embroideries, fibre installations to 3D sculptures and explored the richness and diversity of fibre art in all its forms. Examples covered the media of fibre-felt, weave, knit, collage, paper, print, embroidery, mixed media, wire and quilting. Diversity of approach to the medium is the group's prime concern and is reflected in each individual members work. A book Fibre Visions illustrating a selected representation of work from each artist, was published to coincide with the show. Exhibitors included - Bethan Ash, Bailey Curtis, Alastair Duncan, John Binet Fauvel, Helen Foroughi, Michelle Griffiths, Ruth Harries, Sue Hiley Harris, Ainsley Hillard, Angie Hughes, Diane Lucas, Siān Martin, Alison Mercer, Jill Nicholls, Melissa Warren, Sandie Welch and Kathy Williams.
