Exhibition statement -
Journeys is yet another evocative title that has drawn a wide and varied response from FIBRE.ART.WALES' members. It can be interpreted as the physical ephemeral
evidence of passing; marks made by birds, animals and man. A journey can be the instinctive response to a desire to break the mould of everyday humdrum existence;
to move on to see what maybe lies over the horizon; to challenge the new and unexpected.

Journeys implies, in one sense at least, moving forward with a purpose, a goal in mind and this has been one of the main aims of all the exhibitions the group has
mounted; to move forward in terms of individual development, breaking any preconceptions about the nature and scope of fibre art. From the outset the interaction of the
different disciplines has been seen as a major, significant benefit. The artists of FIBRE. ART.WALES have explored these various aspects with their customary vigour
and enthusiasm to produce another stimulating exhibition. - Jill Nicholls 2007
