Workshops -

Fun Jewellery Making Workshop

A wide range of attractive contemporary jewellery can be produced using little more thana pair of pliers, forceps and a variety
of bought and recycled materials. The workshop can be adapted for any age over eight years and can run for one, two or
three hour sessions.

Students can produce fun jewellery in the form of chokers, bracelets, tiaras and earrings.

Simple techniques will be demonstrated in wire manipulation in order to construct a piece of jewellery from basic component
parts.

For visual stimuli, I shall bring a few pieces of jewellery that I have made. There will be lots of painted images to look at of
modern and ethnic jewellery.

Materials supplied will be copper and alloy wire, beads, findings, cord, ribbon, feathers, also a collection of bought and
recycled objects plus tools.
