Bailey
is an Internationally known textile artist,
who ran Omega dyes, a mail order dye business for ten
years. She is now author
and publisher of three books, 'Dyeing to Colour', Inspiration to Stitch' and
has just written, with Annette Morgan 'Appliqué and Beyond'.
Fine Felts and Silk Papers
This is the ideal course for embroiderers! These fine
felts and 'papers' are easy to make, can be applied on to fabric or layered
on top
of each other and stitched, ready for use with hand or machine embroidery or
3D projects.
Feltmaking
This one or two day course is ideal for beginners and
those who have done some felting before.
Starting with basic felting process and once mastered, moving on to more intricate
techniques such as appliqué
and 3D effects.
Experiments in Dyeing
This course gives you the information that you need on dyes and dyeing so that
you can dye with confidence enableing you to
enhance future work. The course covers the use of ACID dyes, REACTIVE and DIRECT
dyeing and the Shibori method of tie-dyeing.
Dye and Simple Print
This course suitable for all levels being a good introduction to dyeing and
printing. Colour your cloth by dipping, tie-dyeing, painting,
sponging and stippling or a combination of these techniques.
