Statement -
My work is mainly concerned with our life experience, my recent pieces have considered ageing, and also woman's struggle to fit in head cook and
bottle washer together with being superwoman into her day. For the last few years I have been experimenting with sculptural forms, mainly standing
figures, but I think this year I shall work on some soft pieces again or perhaps a mixture of the two.
I plan to investigate the effect of the media on our lives for my next body of work, although currently I am working on a series of pieces based on my
trip to Italy that I took as a result of winning the Charles Henry Foyle award for stitched textiles in 2003.
